Request an AppointmentDr. Waliullah is a Georgia native. He grew up in Augusta, GA, and then went to Mercer University where he obtained his bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering. After completing his undergraduate studies, he attended medical school at Mercer University, as well.
Residency training brought Dr. Waliullah to Columbia where he trained at the University of Missouri. In 2016 he graduated residency and moved to Cape Girardeau, MO, with his wife Cate whom he met while at the university. In Cape Girardeau, Dr. Waliullah practiced as a member of Advanced Orthopedic Specialists at Saint Francis Medical Center where he did a variety of cases including complex fracture surgery, sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery, and total joint replacement. He helped care for the Southeast Missouri Redhawks alongside his partners. During that time, he discovered his passion for total joint replacement and in 2023 decided to pursue a fellowship in the field. His fellowship training at the University of Missouri provided a broad exposure to robotic surgery, anterior total hip replacement, and revision surgery. His training and experience have given him confidence with cartilage restoration procedures, partial joint replacement, and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery as well as revision exposures and complex total joint replacement.
Dr. Waliullah is an experienced surgeon and is a member of several professional organizations. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, is an active Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is a current member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
Dr. Waliullah's vision for patient care was instilled in him by his experiences with health care as well as his family. Undergoing eye surgery at the age of four, he was introduced to medicine early. His mother and grandmother have always stressed the importance of treating patients with respect and consideration. Dr. Waliullah strives to treat each of his patients as part of his family - making sure they get the best possible care.
Dr. Waliullah lives in Columbia with his wife Cate and their two sons. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, traveling, home renovation, and watching live sports. He is an avid football fan and baseball fan. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children while helping them pursue their passions.
