From a young age, St. Louis native Dr. Robertson, was fascinated by bones how the body could heal itself from trauma and fractures. This interest led him to his medical career and to Columbia Orthopaedic Group helping patients all over Mid-Missouri.
Dr. Robertson completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia where he graduated with honors, and was awarded the James L. Chapel Scholarship awarded to the fourth year medical student demonstrating compassion for others and academic achievement. Following that, he completed his residency training at the University of Missouri-Columbia where he was elected by faculty and peers to the Administrative Chief position. Subspecialty training in trauma followed the next year with a fellowship in Cleveland at the MetroHealth Medical Center in affiliation with Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Robertson joined the Columbia Orthopaedic Group in 2019 after five years previous experience providing comprehensive fracture care at two level 1 trauma centers in Missouri.
Dr. Robertson is board certified and a member of multiple professional societies including a faculty member of the prestigious AOTrauma group and has taught and lectured at the national level. His interests include acute fracture care as well as treatment of more chronic conditions such as malunions and nonunions. Dr. Robertson also serves as the Medical Director of Orthopaedic Trauma at Boone Hospital center.
