Pain Management

Neurostimulation is a pain management methodology involving the purposeful modulation of activity within the nervous system. Neurostimulation provides pain relief by disrupting the pain signals traveling between the spinal cord and the brain. It works in a way that prevents the body from recognizing pain signals.

Neurostimulation therapies include invasive and noninvasive approaches. The treatment works by applying electrical stimulation to drive neural function within a circuit.

Invasive approaches include processes like microelectrodes, while non-invasive ones include transcranial magnetic stimulation or transcranial electric stimulation and tES, such as tDCS or transcranial alternating current stimulation, tACS.

Signs and Symptoms
