Neck pain
<< Back to Spine Specialties
Neck pain can vary in intensity from a dull ache to an acute stabbing sensation. Neck pain is an incredibly common condition. This type of pain usually impacts the soft tissue in the neck and surrounding area. Anti-inflammatory over-the-counter medications often provide relief.
Pain in the neck can result from wear and tear, repetitive motion, sports and exercise, sleeping or sitting in an awkward position, stress, or injury.
Sometimes neck pain can indicate something more serious, like osteoarthritis or other more severe medical conditions.
